Winners of Year of the Horse Collector Coins

Aus_Coin_Web

Thank you for joining EQ and Australia’s Perth Mint in celebrating the Year of the Horse. Six EQ readers have won a solid-silver and 24-carat gold collector coins.

The Australian Lunar Series II 2014 Year of the Horse 1oz Silver Gilded Edition is produced in a limited edition and is legal tender. It comes in presentation packaging with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

In Chinese culture, gold is believed to symbolize wealth and happiness, which makes the gilding on this release an appealing feature for the discerning collector. With Queen Elizabeth on the front, the coin’s reverse depicts two horses, gilded in 24-carat gold, standing in a stylized landscape displaying trees, rockery and a river. The delicate artistry is complemented by the Chinese character for ‘horse’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Horse’. The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark also appears in the design.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR COIN WINNERS!

The winners of the solid silver and gold Year of the Horse coins courtesy of the Australian Mint are W. Boyer, S. Smoak, J. Bickley, G. Feng, J. Ulmer, and F. Friedman.
