The official charity of both the 2015 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event and The Kentucky Reining Cup.
“We are so grateful to be named the official charity of the 2015 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.” Kentucky’s First Lady, Jane Beshear, said. “Horses and Hope is focused on increasing breast cancer awareness and educating Kentuckians and at-risk populations about the importance of prevention, screening and early detection.” All proceeds raised for Horses and Hope will go directly toward a new mobile screening van equipped to screen for seven cancer types.

Beshear added, “Our partnerships with ‘Rolex Kentucky’ and the Kentucky Reining Cup will help us bring this important message to the thousands of equestrian enthusiasts who will be attending this world-class event.”

Rolex Three Day

On April 23, Equestrian Events Inc. (EEI), the producer of the prestigious Three Day, and Rolex will be hosting an exclusive event at the Governor’s Mansion, where a small number of Maker’s Mark Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event commemorative bottles will be auctioned off. Tickets to the evening event are $200 per individual and $300 per couple, with each ticket including a $100 voucher that may go towards the purchase of a commemorative bottle. All event proceeds will go to Horses and Hope.  For more information, contact the ticket line at 859-254-8123 or download a pdf ticket order form.

EEI has a long history of making financial contributions to charities that support local equine interests and serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky. “EEI has always given back to the community through regular charitable donations. In addition to those donations, we decided last year to name an annual official charity so we could make an even more meaningful impact and bring much needed awareness to these organizations,” explained Stewart Perry, president of the EEI board of directors. “Horses and Hope is a perfect choice for the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event considering the Governor and First Lady’s deep involvement with the Kentucky Horse Park and the important work Horses and Hope is doing.”

The Kentucky Reining Cup returns to the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., April 24-25.  Horses and Hope will be the featured charity at a special presentation during the World Championship Freestyle Reining on the evening of April 25th.

“We are thrilled to partner with such an outstanding organization and very happy that Horses and Hope might benefit from the donation we intend to give in partnership with our friends at Paul Miller Ford”, said Brad Ettleman, President of HorsePower, Inc. “Horses and Hope is already the official charity of our sister event, the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event and we are happy to extend that relationship to the western side of the weekend.”
