Photographer Alden Corrigan’s gallery of Summer 2020’s Giant Steps Charity Horse Show at the Sonoma Horse Park allows those of us who live where most events have been cancelled to enjoy a favorite California event. 


Sonoma Horse Park is a world-class horse show facility 25 miles north of San Francisco in Southern Sonoma County in the heart of wine country. Situated on the banks of the Petaluma River, the 75-acre facility boasts 17 arenas and is the ideal showcase for equestrian sports. It hosts seven show jumping competitions annually, each attracting top competitors from all over the Western United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Giant Steps Charity Horse Show benefits Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Petaluma, California. The organization has harnessed the therapeutic power of horses since 1998 to help people of all ages overcome their physical, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and developmental challenges. Since then, their clients have represented more than 60 distinct disabilities and challenges as well as members of our military.
