The Menlo Charity Horse Show began in 1970 as a one-day horse show, and has always had a tradition of providing outstanding competition as well as raising funds for community partners. Over the past four decades, Menlo has provided funding to numerous charities including Planned Parenthood, Amigos De Las Americas, and the current charitable partner Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The Center was founded in 1936 and is the premier resource for individuals with vision loss in San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties.
Now a six-day event, Menlo has been nationally recognized as one of the top horse shows in the country. It was awarded in 2012 as a USEF Heritage Competition and designated as the USHJA World Champion Hunter Rider Competition.
Held at the Menlo Circus Club, the Menlo Charity Horse Show offers exhibitors and spectators one of the best show experiences in the country. Nightly events combine the excitement of show jumping with the best of entertainment featuring casual dinners, wine and beer tastings. Sponsors are treated to breakfast, lunch, and evening wine tastings in the Mountain Home Stables Sponsor Tent.
The Friday Night Gala is a favorite for the social crowd with all proceeds going to Vista Center. Over 130 volunteers work year round to make the Menlo experience unforgettable. Our history of show excellence and philanthropy is unsurpassed.
