How to submit
No responsibility is assumed for unsolicited manuscripts. Writers should submit a query letter to the editor in advance. (info@eqliving.com ) Submit a synopsis (about 250 words) and outline for review, plus examples of similar stories you have written.  If specific photos will be essential to your manuscript, tell us what photos are available to accompany your article.

By submitting an article, essay, work of art, photo, graphic, blog, etc. to EQ, you warrant that you are not violating any copyrights and are submitting original, previously unpublished material.

Because of the volume of submissions, EQ regrets that it cannot acknowledge or return unsolicited manuscripts or article proposals. If a manuscript is being considered for publication, the writer will be informed within two weeks.

All material accepted for publication is subject to such revisions as are deemed appropriate by our editors.

We DO NOT accept multiple submissions of articles (articles offered to more than one publication) except in rare circumstances. Please let us know if an article has been previously published or offered to another magazine when you submit it.

If published, we may be able to include a short author biography (approx. 50 words), a link to your website, books, or any social media pages you would like us to link to (optional) in the “About the Author” section of the article. This information can be included in the body of the email or attached with the submission.

We encourage the submission of photographs corresponding to articles. For digital photos, we prefer high resolution, 300dpi, minimum 4”x 6” in size. Please include short descriptions of each photograph, including the photographer’s name (or other photo credit), and the name and person(s) shown if applicable.

With a few exceptions, EQ adheres to the Associated Press (AP) style guidelines.
