You have most likely seen the Fabio of horses circulating around the internet.
According to Britain’s Daily Mail, “He’s the real-life Black Beauty. And Frederik The Great, a breathtakingly beautiful Friesian stallion from the United States, may just be the world’s most handsome horse.”
The beautiful stallion is owned by Pinnacle Friesians where he stands at stud in the Ozark Mountains. The Daily Mail feature illustrates the secrets of his beauty regime. The sleek black stallion is joined by three grooms for the two-hour process of washing his six-foot long mane and his tail. Two of the stable hands work on his mane and one on his tail, which are given two shampoos and two rinses with hoses, before conditioner is applied before a final rinse. See photos of the grooming here.
What makes Frederik so special? Owner Stacy Nazario has focused her attention on this breed. With rising concerns of high inbreeding among Friesians, the breeding farm ensures low-percentage kinship, selecting only pureblood, Dutch, KFPS, FHANA registered, black homozygous Friesians for stud.
A fine art photography gallery by photographer Cally Matherly has become a viral sensation around the world. Pinnacle Friesians has opened a Online Gallery Art Store and is offering portraits, canvas prints, posters, cards and other items.
With a Facebook fan page of more than 21,500 followers and a blog of his own, the stunning horse has garnered quite a following.
