Founded by Rigzin Wangmo Lachic as an emotional tribute to her grandmother’s land, this serene enclave sits on an ancient Silk Route pit stop, framed by the dramatic, purple-tinged peaks of the Indian Himalayas.
The property consists of just seven split-level duplex villas, consciously designed using traditional, passive-solar architecture. To ensure a minimal environmental footprint, the villas are built entirely from locally sourced materials, including compressed stabilized earth blocks, indigenous stone, and poplar and willow wood. This vernacular style naturally regulates temperature, keeping spaces warm during the harsh Himalayan winters and cool in the summer. Inside, the decor showcases the work of over forty local artisans, featuring handwoven yak-wool throws, earthy rugs, and hand-carved stone features.
